Day 1: Johannesburg – Pretoria ca. 100 km Arrival in Johannesburg. You collect your vehicle and we suggest you do a city tour of Pretoria with a visit to the Voortrekker Monument and the Kurger House Museum. Your hotel is located on the edge of Pretoria on the Pienaar River. BB Faircity Roodevallei Hotel or similar *** Day 2: Pretoria – Krüger National Park ca. 350 km Today you depart for the Krüger National Park. The park is one of the renowned Game Parks in the world. With a length of 325 km and a width of 80 km the park covers approximately 20 000 square km and about 1.7% of the country of South Africa. It is the biggest game reserve of South Africa. Noah’s Arc – as the park is also called – is home to 140 different mammals and 500 bird species. Besides the “Big Five” – lions, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhinos – you will also find other big cats eg the cheetah, antilopes like Impala, kudu and waterbuck and wild dogs. In the afternoon you could do a game drive on the Shalati Game Reserve which is bordering the Krüger National Park – not included in the price. DBB Shalati Safari Camp Day 3: Krüger National Park After breakfast you could do a full day game drive in an open vehicle in the Krüger National Park – not included in the price. An interesting day in nature with the fascinating game that the park has to offer. Be prepared with your camera. DBB Shalati Safari Camp Day 4: Krüger National Park – Mpumalanga ca. 150 km Before breakfast another game drive could be possible – not included in the price. Thereafter we suggest you drive along the spectacular Panoramaroute and visit God’s Window: weather permitting you have beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and the “Lowveld” below. Also a visit to the „Bourke’s Luck Potholes“ is recommended, before you continue to one of the biggest and most natural beautiful wonders of South Africa - Blyde River Canyon. Enjoy the view of the 16km Canyon. The river is flowing through this canyon. BB Blyde River Canyon Resort. Day 5: Mpumalanga – Johannesburg – Cape Town ca. 350 km After breakfast return to Johannesburg, for your flight to Cape Town – not included in the price. Drop off your vehicle. Upon arrival in Cape Town you collect your new rental vehicle and drive to your accommodation. BB Braeside B&B Day 6: Cape Town Today we recommend a half day city tour – not included in the price. Either in your own vehicle or we could book it for you. There are various options. You will visit the Malay quarters and the company gardens. You will also visit the Castle of Good Hope. The guide can drop you off a the V&A Waterfront, but you will have to make your own way back to your accommodation. You could also go up Table Mountain, which is weather dependant. BB Braeside B&B Day 7: Cape Town A suitable day for a full day tour to the Cape Point – not included in the rate and we could book it for you. Drive through Hout Bay and continue to the Cape Nature Reserve. Enjoy the view from the point where people say that the two oceans meet, which is a myth. Continue the drive along False Bay via Simon’s Town, where we suggest a visit to the penguins at Boulders, and then continue via Fish Hoek.
